It's an incredibly intelligent show and it's character-driven. The script was very ambitious, trying to do so many different things, and I believe it really accomplished all of those things. It crosses genres and it's exciting when you read something different like that.

I've always been fascinated by the whole forensics thing, but this show doesn't have a cold feeling to it. It's more about the characters, and I love that.

My character is very buttoned up on the show, so I try to keep the make-up to a minimum. My hair has been stick-straight, up in a ponytail, wavy and down. It changes daily.

No sugar cereal. Hot dogs with no nitrates. We weren't allowed to have McDonald's. When the babysitter came, we could have Kraft macaroni and cheese.

Personally, I was really drawn to a very strong female character; an intelligent woman who is extremely good at her job, but has trouble relating in her personal life to people beyond her area of scientific expertise.

We both tend not to pay much attention to what's socially acceptable, and we like to do crazy stuff. We both love to dance and will dance whenever, wherever, whether there's music playing or not. My whole family is very sarcastic and constantly making jokes.

We're growing deeper of friends this season. [In an upcoming episode] we investigate a certain kind of fetish and it brings up a little sexual tension.... They'll be forced to face what they feel for each other [early in the season].

You know, I think David [Boreanaz] and I immediately had a kind of chemistry as actors together. We work hard, we work together every weekend, we work hard at keeping the chemistry there. I think what's great is the writers write all these different scenes, where we get to explore the characters in different ways, so it keeps it really fresh and interesting. We're not getting stuck in some kind of rut.
